Krut Heroes

The "Krut Heroes" database, prepared by the roots.in.ua resource, will contain detailed information about the established participants of this historic battle. The original list was compiled by the Chairman of the Council of the public organization "Heroes of Krut Historical and Cultural Society", People's Artist of Ukraine Yaroslav Gavrylyuk.

This database will include information about the participants of the battle from the 1st Kyiv Youth School named after B. Khmelnytskyi, foremen and soldiers of the Haydamatskyi kosh, auxiliary student camp of the Sich Riflemen, high school students, as well as medics who took part in the battle, including nurses. Special attention is paid to students and high school students tortured by the Bolsheviks, and detailed information about them will be given.

The database is collected from various sources and tries to collect the most complete list of participants in the Battle of Kruty. It will become an important tool for researchers, educators and anyone interested in the history of Ukraine and the heroic events that influenced the struggle for independence.
